Meghan Markle is working hard to put out this fire! What’s new? LOLz!
Earlier this month, a fan went viral on Reddit for supposedly exposing how few products As Ever has sold. According to a screenshot, the fan attempted to buy a large order of each product on the website, which prompted a response that revealed exactly how many of each item were available for purchase.
It wound up being that there were approximately 220,000 jars of jam, 30,000 jars of honey, 90,000 candles, 80,000 tins of flower sprinkles, about 70,000 bottles of wine, over 90,000 tins of tea, and approximately 30,000 mulling kits. See the screenshot HERE. Yikes. That’s a lot of product collecting dust on the shelf! Fans widely took that as evidence that her lifestyle brand was flopping after initial strong sales. But is that what’s happening??

Defending Meghan, a source told The Sun on Tuesday that this is actually a GOOD sign. Huh?? They dished:
“I think it’s fair to say business isn’t just successful, it’s flying off the shelf. Meghan inadvertently revealed that one million jars were ordered for that one product, and has only 130,000 left. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that 87 percent of what has been ordered has sold.”
While As Ever has not released any formal sales numbers, in a Bloomberg Originals interview with The Circuit in August, the Duchess of Sussex hinted that they had to place a massive order:
“[We] thought for sure that would at least last for a couple weeks. That sold out in a couple hours. And suddenly the conversation goes from at the start of this year, talking about a few thousands jars and lids to, ‘We need to do a purchase order of a million.’ And that’s a huge jump in just a few months of starting a business.”
She also revealed her plans to expand internationally. See (below):
So, if it is true that Meghan ordered a million of each product — or at least the jam, her best-selling item — these leaked numbers are actually incredible!
Her Signature Fruit Spread Gift Box is currently priced at $42. The glitch claims she has 137,465 left, and if this is out of a presumed 1 million purchase order, that means she’s made $36 million so far on this item alone! Not so shabby, y’all!!

That said, she doesn’t get to put that all in her pocket. Of course, some funds will go back into the business, and she also has to share the profit with her partner, Netflix, and other investors she may have. Still, it’s great!
The source went on to point out that this large order was likely in preparation for brand extensions:
“That large stock order was obviously part of the international expansion plans that Meghan has for As Ever. Given how much has gone after a hugely successful festive period, it’s likely they’ll have to beef up the stockroom to meet demand when the product is made available in other international territories.”
Speaking to People, a insider with knowledge of the business double down:
“It doesn’t take a genius to work out that what is left points to a company doing extremely well. That large stock order was obviously part of the international expansion plans the Duchess has spoken about for the brand.”
In this context, the product glitch isn’t looking like such a failure anymore! But is this just Meghan’s camp trying to do some much-needed damage control by attempting to flip the narrative?? Hmm…
What do U make of these numbers? Tell us (below)!
