Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a lot to say about the upcoming presidential election set to take place in the United States in early November.
But don’t count on them telling you who to vote for. They’re not here to endorse a specific candidate or push their own personal opinions on their followers. (That probably makes you happy, Pharrell Williams, doesn’t it?) Instead, Meghan and Harry are offering up a MUCH more important take for all of us to hear: on the importance of voting!

On Tuesday afternoon, the couple’s Archewell Foundation released an official statement on their website from the couple begging unregistered voters to do the deed and get registered to vote ahead of this November’s election. Of course, the battle at the ballot box is a biggie — a national campaign pitting Kamala Harris and Tim Walz against Donald Trump and JD Vance.
But like we said, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex aren’t trying to sway your vote. They’re just trying to make sure you make it!! Their statement began by acknowledging the importance of National Voter Registration Day:
“Voting is not just a right; it’s a fundamental way to influence the fate of our communities. At The Archewell Foundation, we recognize that civic engagement, no matter one’s political party, is at the heart of a more just and equitable world. By participating in initiatives like this, we aim to amplify the message that every voice matters.”
And then, along with a link pointing to the Vote Forward platform and more information about registering at Vote.gov, the 40-year-old royal and his 43-year-old wife concluded:
“We invite you to join us in this important effort. Together, let’s make sure every eligible voter is informed and empowered to participate in shaping America’s future.”
Well said!
An entirely reasonable take no matter your political persuasion. If you’re going to talk politics, get out there and make sure that you’re registered to vote so you can have an actual say in the election!!
Except, uh, not you, Harry. You’re not a citizen. You have to sit this one out. LOLz!
But seriously, it’s a very worthy message. And it’s one that we hope ALL of you take to heart and act on immediately if you aren’t already registered to vote. Step up and get the damn thing done!! Thoughts, y’all?? Reactions?! Share ’em (below)!
