Meghan Markle insists she’s in a really good place with Prince Harry amid divorce rumors! In fact, she makes it sound like they’re more in love than they’ve been in years!
Ahead of the launch of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which is set to launch later this week, the Duchess of Sussex sat down for a chat with People out on Monday. In the candid conversation, the Suits alum insisted she and her husband are back in a new “honeymoon period” — even amid persistent rumors of marriage issues!

The 43-year-old explained that this new creative and entrepreneurial part of her life — as she works on her lifestyle brand As Ever and her cooking show — has been like a blast from the past for the couple, pointing out:
“My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.”
The Tig was Meg’s first lifestyle website, where she shared her love of food, wellness, and travel. She had to shut it down (alongside her Instagram) as her romance with Harry heated up. But now that they’ve walked away from their royal responsibilities and she’s embarking on new projects, it has helped remind them of the early days of their romance. Meghan gushed:
“It’s almost like a honeymoon period again because it’s exactly how it was in the beginning when he’d watch me scribbling away, writing newsletters, fine-tuning edits and just really being in the details of it. I think he loves watching as much as I love doing that creative process. It’s just been fun. This is who I’ve always been.”
Hmm. Sounds more like she’s living her best life and he’s just tagging along, but ok!
When asked if it was difficult to stop The Tig, the actress acknowledged:
“Well, I loved The Tig, but I certainly love my husband more. So that was a choice I made at the time, and I wouldn’t change that for a second.”
When she’s not working on her personal projects, the couple also connect on the Archewell Foundation. The mother of two shared:
“I imagine that it’s the same as it would be for any couple. You have your individual jobs, but then you have things that you share together.”
She continued:
“We’ve been such a close team for so long that we’re just in it beat by beat with each other. And I love that. To be able to be a female founder and do that with my husband’s support means everything.”
As for their day-to-day lives, she expressed gratitude to her Montecito neighbors for helping her family live a more normal life, revealing:
“Once you know us, I think you want us to have the same normalcy as parents and for our children as they do, despite however unique our situation is.”
She and her royal hubby are even able to hit up the town for romantic nights without fear of cameras, she dished:
“We go to a lot of dinners, and not just in people’s homes or private rooms; we just go into the restaurant. I really love that we can just have fun.”
Good for them!
They also bond over simple things, like “day dates” in which they share a quiet lunch together, and “nightcap recaps” where they unwind with a drink while chatting about their day and making their kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet‘s school lunches. The former Archetypes podcast host reflected:
“I think all parents in this phase with kids the same age know it’s rinse and repeat.”
They also enjoy quality time like any other couple catching up on their favorite TV shows, she said:
“We love Shrinking; we just finished Black Doves, and we’re excited for the new season of The White Lotus.”
Huh! They’re just like us! A friend also gushed about the pair, telling the outlet:
“They’re very gentle and attentive. There’s a sweetness to their family. You can see that as a unit, they’re all very connected.”
Aw!
As sweet as this all sounds, it has to be said this is coming out after months and months of divorce speculation. Sure, Harry’s already hit back at the online chatter, but still, the rumors keep coming. There was even a source claiming all Meghan’s new business ventures were taking a “toll” on him and their marriage — AKA the exact opposite of what she’s saying now. LOLz! That said, we’re not surprised Meghan’s trying to keep it all positive…
