OK, things aren’t that bad across the pond, but here’s a fascinating and unsettling little tidbit from Royal-world tonight: Kate and Meghan aren’t exactly the best of friends!
A source speaking to People on Thursday opened up a little bit about some of the tensions that swirled last Christmas (and may swirl again this year!) when the couples got together for the holiday season (below):
“They really loved Christmas and all had a wonderful time. I think the two women got on — they are definitely not best friends, but it was a really special time for them all to spend together.”
Hmmm… that’s not exactly the most ringing endorsement of a great friendship?!?!
Of course, this is at least in some small part tied to their husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry, who — while as close as you’d expect from two thirty-something brothers — need to hash out their OWN personal space away from each other, too!

Another insider noted as much when speaking about Meghan and Harry’s upcoming move out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage (below):
“Harry will want to establish himself and come out of the shadows and not be in his brother’s shadows. They want to do their own thing and create their own style. And to do that you need to be away sometimes.”
Amen to that! But maybe it’s also, ya know, enflaming mild tensions between Kate and Meghan, by proxy?!
Just sayin’! But who knows! All we can definitively say is this: the holiday season can be a TOUGH time for family, whether you’re a royal or a commoner!!
