Meghan Markle‘s estranged father to the rescue!
Thomas Markle hasn’t exactly been doing much to help Meghan over the past year (or more, TBH), but at least today, he came out in strong defense of his daughter in the midst of her ongoing (rumored!) feud with Kate Middleton.

Speaking to The Sun in an interview published just a few hours ago, Thomas openly called out Kate and asked for the alleged rift to be over between the two women.
More importantly, too, he attempted to defend Meghan a bit from all the s**t she’s been taking recently, saying (below):
“If there is any animosity between Meghan and Kate, they should put their differences aside. I’m very upset by the criticism Meghan is getting. I don’t think she deserves it and I don’t think she is doing one third of the things she is being accused of doing.”

Thomas also made it clear that he was very skeptical about that alleged incident in which Kate left one of Meghan’s “stressful” bridesmaid dress fittings “in tears” back in 2018 (below):
“I’m not buying that she made Kate cry. First off, I think Kate is a stronger woman than that. I think Kate also knows she is in a stronger power position than Meghan is. Kate’s the hero mother. I can’t see her being that weak. No woman is who pops out a kid then walks out of hospital the same day. I don’t think she’s afraid of anyone … I don’t believe that Meghan is trying to hurt her in any shape or form. But at the moment I cannot call Meghan and say, ‘What is going on? How can I help you?’ I need to know what the hell is happening and why it is happening. I need to know why she is being bashed every day.”

What do U think about all this, Perezcious readers?! Is Thomas just trying to get back in his daughter’s good graces with a pleasant interview, for once, or is the defense genuine??
