Meghan Markle 'Isn't As Close To Her Mom' As Everyone Thinks, Says Source

One thing we know about Meghan Markle is, of all her family members, either by blood or by law, the one she’s absolutely closest to is her momma, Doria Ragland.

We can relate, LOLz!

But… what if that’s not true at all??

We have to preface this story by saying we are pretty incredulous about this report… but here goes…

A new report in Us Weekly states the relationship the world thinks it’s seeing isn’t exactly what’s going behind closed doors. According to the outlet’s new source, Meghan is in fact “not very close with her mom.”

Huh?!?

Another source is corroborating the claims, pointing out even though Meghan left her Royal duties and moved much closer, Doria “has no plans to relocate to Canada or anywhere for that matter.”

This insider says the 63-year-old yoga teacher is content with her life in Los Angeles “giving private yoga lessons to a select few clients” and won’t uproot, even to spend more time with her daughter and grand-baby.

For that matter, they doubt she’ll even visit Meghan’s new North-of-the-Border abode very often, as she never did the last time gurl lived in Canada:

“Doria would only see Meghan once or twice a year while filming Suits in Toronto. Meghan isn’t as close to her mom as is known.”

OK, but even if that’s true, even if Doria didn’t visit her daughter too often when she was working, that doesn’t automatically mean they weren’t close. Maybe they spoke on the phone all the time. Family members’ careers sometimes take them far away, it doesn’t mean they aren’t spending whatever time they can together.

Besides, even if their relationship wasn’t as strong during the acting days, they’ve clearly gotten tighter in recent years.

Not only was she basically the only member of Meghan’s American family who was invited to her wedding to Prince Harry, the mother of the bride rode with her in the car on the way there! Only your besties get to do that!

And what about when Doria visited Frogmore to help with Master Archie??

We will say, while Meghan and Harry’s exit announcement did mention raising their son with a “geographic balance” we had thought of it as a balance between families — and there’s actually no mention of Meghan’s mother or North American fam:

“This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.”

Hmm. We’re still not buying this; all evidence seems to bolster what we’ve been hearing the past couple years, that Meghan and her mother have a very good relationship.
