Meghan Markle is opening up quite a bit about her kids in her brand-new Netflix show… and we are SO here for it!
With Love, Meghan debuts on the streaming platform on Tuesday at midnight PST. And according to Us Weekly, who got a sneak peek at the whole thing and was given advance screeners to pore through a day before the show’s debut, the Duchess of Sussex spends a LOT of time on screen talking about Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Awww!
As you may recall, the Suits alum has already been using her kids as a clever (and cute!) means of promoting the show. She’s going to back up all that promo work with actual content, too, tho — because she discusses them a LOT on camera!

First off, if you’re wondering whether Prince Harry and their two kiddos appear on the show, the answer is… not really. Well, “not really” for Prince Harry, who is only heard in two off-camera flashback videos before appearing very briefly in the final episode. And not at ALL for the 5-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl! They’re mentioned throughout the show, and a picture of Archie at his first birthday party can be seen in a quickie flashback, but that’s it!
But Meghan actually did have a lot to say about them on camera! Take, for example, this funny comment about the two toddlers bumbling and stumbling around the fam’s Montecito home:
“We have a lot of arnica [cream] in my house. Toddler life! Lots of bumps and bruises.”
Ha!!
Then there’s this comment about being good at balancing things (and little people!) as a momma:
“When you’ve had kids, you’re used to balancing things on your hip.”
Markle also revealed during the series that Lilibet has made up a song about cleaning. It went:
“Clean as you go! Clean, clean clean!”
LOLz! That’s good advice, tho. Advice we should all take…

Meg also revealed some of the things her kids like. At one point, she recalled a recent family vacation during which Archie caught two trout (whoa!), and the whole fam prepared a meal with his catch. She said on screen that the kids “loved it,” and the whole moment was “very sweet.”
Then, later, the Tig founder recalled how Lilibet got a doll from somebody as a gift, and the toy has turned into its own little source of personality and fun:
“I don’t remember who gave it to her. She has a little baguette, she has a little cheese, and she’s called Stella Al Fresco!”
Amazing!
The family has a chicken coop on their property, too, which they affectionately and adorably call “Archie’s Chick Inn.” Meghan even goes to it to gift a friend of hers a branded carton of homegrown eggs. Love that! So artisanal! And such a valuable gift these days!
In a separate section of the show, the former actress also gets real about how her relationship with cooking has “changed since I had the kids.” Recalling her own childhood, Meghan said at one point:
“It’s so much a part of what I want them to learn and to have these great formative memories of being with me, like ‘oh, momma used to make this!'”
And finally, Meghan also opened up about the persistent and troubling push that is feeling mom guilt. She tried to convey how she has best learned to get past it, saying:
“Just because you can’t do everything doesn’t mean you don’t want to do some things. ‘Some things’ is where a lot of that love can come in. You’re not losing extra credit — you’re not losing the gold star by not making the dumpling wrapper!”
So true. And so well said!
