Watching Familial Dysfunction Unfold Likely Helped Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Cement Their Romantic Bond!

Meghan Markle may be a beautiful, intellectual Hollywood starlet, but she and fiancé Prince Harry connect on an even deeper level.
There’s no denying that the ginger prince was instantly smitten when first introduced to the Suits actress. Heck, Prince William‘s brother jetted Meghan off to Botswana for their third date. While their charms and similar charitable spirits linked them together, few may realize that the love birds also connected over their mutual Child Of Divorce status.

Apparently, the shared experience of watching their respective parents fall out of love only strengthened their bond as a couple. In case you forgot, an eight-year-old Harry was at the center of a high profile split when Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana finally admitted to the public that their marriage was over.
As for Miz Markle, the American divorc├â┬⌐e was only six when her parents, Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle, divorced. Although Meghan has claimed that her family was “still so close-knit” following the split, a close childhood friend has painted a different picture. Ninaki Priddy spilled to E! News:

“It could be hard for her. Sometimes she felt she had to pick sides. She was always trying to make sure each of them was happy. She’d have to relay messages. It was literally stuff like, ‘Tell your mother├óΓé¼┬ª,’ or ‘Tell your father├óΓé¼┬ª'”

How sad. Thankfully, both Ragland and Markle were involved in Meghan’s upbringing. When the now 36-year-old wasn’t doing charity work with her mother, she was visiting with her father on set in Tinseltown.
Harry didn’t necessarily have a warm childhood, as after his parents’ messy divorce, Queen Elizabeth II‘s grandson lost his mother to a terrible car accident. Last year, the 33-year-old admitted that he and William “were bouncing between [Diana and Charles]” quite a bit.
Despite touting it as “an interesting way of growing up,” Harry heavily implied that he and his brother were at the center of many fights. Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, also added to the conversation:

“It was upsetting for them to watch the fall-out of their parents’ marriage and whenever Diana got upset, they would push notes under her door saying, ‘It will be OK.’ Diana smothered them in love, and they always slept in her room during that time and not the nursery.”

Intense stuff. No wonder Harry is so drawn to Meghan. Oh, and it explains why Harry said that the Windsor family Christmas allowed Markle to have a holiday experience that she “never had” before. Priddy supported the prince’s claim, as she noted:

“The idea of having a family was something Meg very much wanted, particularly because she was from a family that felt very disjointed.”

Thus, it’s apparent that Meghan and Harry are taking their nuptials very seriously. Not only has Meghan transitioned well into royal life, but Harry has also doted on her the whole way.
We honestly couldn’t be happier that these two have found each other!!
