Doesn’t seem like the iciness between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Prince William and Kate Middleton will be warming up anytime soon!
As we previously shared, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrapped up their final obligation as senior members of the royal family earlier this week at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. It’s unclear when we’ll be seeing them participate in another royal event once Megxit officially kicks in at the end of the month.

Monday’s celebration was the first time we had seen the four interact publicly since November, but it all ended up looking staged and awkward AF! The pairs arrived separately and were escorted to their seats. Will and Kate sat in the front, while Meg and Harry were in the second row, and while they exchanged brief hellos, the four left without interacting outside the church.
A source explained to Us Weekly:
“Harry misses his brother and Kate, but there’s too much mud under the bridge at this point for any meaningful communication. They’re cordial, but that’s about as far as it goes.”
Meghan isn’t too phased by any of this! After all, she’s dealt with plenty of her own drama because of her family. The insider noted:
“These early days with Archie are so precious. They’re really happy to be raising him outside of the public eye, for now at least.”
The insight from this source comes after body language expert Blanca Cobb spoke with the outlet about the interactions (or lack thereof) which we witnessed on Monday morning:
“When you compare Harry and Meghan’s interaction with William and Kate to their interactions with the other people around them, it gives you a sense of, why would it be different and I think a natural conclusion would be, something is up. Kate had zero acknowledgement when taking her seat near Harry and Meghan.”
Blanca added:
“Harry was holding his hands together as he walked in. That’s letting you know that he was feeling a little uneasy. As they were walking and being shown to their seats, Meghan [Markle] looked very relaxed with a genuine smile. The way she’s walking was one of confidence. She was taking nice strides.”
