In case you forgot, Meghan Markle had a completely different life before marrying into the royal family!
The former actress is getting shown love on Instagram from Patrick J. Adams, who played her TV husband on the drama series Suits, in honor of the series finale on Wednesday.

The former actress starred as Rachel Zane in the first seven seasons of the USA Network show, but stepped down from her role following the news of her engagement to Prince Harry.
At the time of her departure, the network shared a statement (below):
“From all of us at USA Network and Universal Cable Productions, we want to send our most heartfelt congratulations to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on their engagement. Meghan has been a member of our family for seven years and it has been a joy to work with her. We want to thank her for her undeniable passion and dedication to Suits, and we wish her the very best.”
Ironically, her on-screen character got married before she actually said “I do” IRL as they wrapped up her role, but there were no hard feelings from her longtime castmates about her departure.

So, whatever happened to Rachel and Mike? The two both left the series at the same time, but Patrick’s character has guest starred on the show as it comes to a close. He shared with Entertainment Tonight earlier this year (below) about what Mr. & Mrs. Ross were up to:
“For Mike, this is just a trip to New York. He’s in Seattle, [Mike and Rachel] are building their life together, it sounds like he’s doing well. It seems to me like Mike’s in a great place. Whatever is happening in Seattle is really good. There’s phone calls with Rachel saying, ‘Goodbye, I love you,’ and, you know, I think there’s some obvious acknowledgment that she’s still there and a part of the show.”
Despite her newly royal life, the Duchess of Sussex never forgot her roots and extended invites to several of her cast members, including Patrick, to her May 2018 nuptials to Harry!
