Meghan Markle Faces Intense Scrutiny After Alleged Wimbledon Photo Ban

meghan markle says no photos at wimbledon

Uh oh!
Meghan Markle is being accused (yet again) of being a diva after reports have come out claiming onlookers were not allowed to photograph her while at Wimbledon to cheer on Serena Williams.

Just two days before Archie Harrison‘s christening, the former Suits actress looked chic while supporting her bestie, but many are calling the Duchess and her security team out.
One attendee, Sally Jones, claims to MailOnline she was warned about not photographing the new mom, even though she was just photographing the tennis pro.
The 64-year-old explained:

“There were around 200 photographers snapping away at her but security were sent to warn an old biddy like me. It makes them look silly. It’s childish and takes us for fools. It’s all completely unnecessary and they are trying to score points.”

Jones continued, claiming the 37-year-old was “clearly looking around looking to see who was looking at her,” during the match:

“There is now a clear sense that [PrinceHarry, Meghan and their team see themselves more as A-list celebrities rather than royals carrying out their duties. Their wish to control things is in stark contrast with the Cambridges who appear far more sensible. Kate [Middleton] was at Wimbledon two days earlier and acted completely differently.”

Miz Markle’s area where she and college friends Genevieve Hillis and Lindsay Roth were seated was largely cleared out from fellow attendees, which seemed to only draw more attention to her during the match!
Pap photos (see them HERE) also show another spectator attempting to take a selfie with the court behind him, but bodyguards quickly checked to confirm he was not snapping photos of the royal family member.
Piers Morgan made his feelings known about the whole situation during Good Morning Britain on Tuesday, SLAMMING the Duchess of Sussex:

“A private capacity, at Wimbledon? This is so ridiculous. This is so ridiculous, this obsession that her and Harry have about privacy. It’s frankly hypocritical and they’re not private people, they’re the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. We get to pay for their mansion, we get to do all of this. If you want to be private, go back to America and live privately.”

Ooof!!

While Kensington Palace declined commenting to MailOnline about the controversy, a royal source did spill:

“It’s not uncommon for personal protection officers accompanying any members of the Royal Family to ask people not to take pictures so they can engage with people and events rather than camera phones.”

What do U think, Perezcious readers? Was she being a pushy princess or just trying to have some privacy?! Sound OFF (below) with your thoughts!!
