Getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of the highest honors one can receive in the entertainment industry.
You get a star, that means you're a star.
But there's another honor, reserved only for true icons, Tinsletown legends, Hollywood royalty…
Getting your hand and footprints immortalized in concrete outside the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd!!
Well you won't believe who totally trolled their own hand and footprint ceremony:
Mel Brooks!
It's the 40th anniversary of Brooks' Oscar-nominated film, Young Frankenstein, so the timing couldn't have been better.
As one of the funniest men in the history of Hollywood, this is a well-deserved honor.
Not one to miss an opportunity for a joke, the 88-year-old wore a prosthetic 6th finger on his left hand! Ha!
His handprint will forever have 11 fingers and we think that's just amazing!
Check out the video (below) to hear in his own words why he did it!
