THESE Fashion Designers Reveal Whether They Would Dress Melania Trump!

Say yes (or no) to the dress!
As we reported, fashion designer Sophie Theallet made headlines when she revealed that she is refusing to dress Melania Trump because of Donald Trump‘s “discrimination and prejudice.”
On the flip side, Tommy Hilfiger believes “any designer should be proud to dress” the next First Lady, especially because she is “beautiful” and would “look great in the clothes.”

How does the fashion world feel about Melania?? Not surprisingly, they are divided.
Among those who WOULD dress the Slovenia-native include Diane von Furstenberg, Thom Browne, and Vera Wang.
DVF said:

“Donald Trump was elected and he will be our president. Melania deserves the respect of any first lady before her. Our role as part of the fashion industry is to promote beauty, inclusiveness, diversity. We should each be the best we can be and influence by our example.”

Brown said:

“Out of respect for the position of the first lady of our United States, I would be honored to be considered to design for any first lady of the United States.”

Wang said:

“We have not been contacted by the Trump campaign or administration thus far. But the first lady-elect should support American fashion, as did her predecessors.”

Designers who said hell no include Marc Jacobs, Phillip Lim, and Derek Lam.
MJ said:

“I have no interest whatsoever in dressing Melania Trump. I didn’t see [Sophie Theallet’s] letter. Personally, I’d rather put my energy into helping out those who will be hurt by [Donald] Trump and his supporters.”

Lim said:

“… With that said, we do not have a current relationship with Mrs. Trump and I don’t foresee a relationship developing under the Trump administration.”

Lam said:

“├óΓé¼┬ª I don’t wish my comments to seem I am prejudging her personal values, but I really don’t see myself getting involved with the Trump presidency.”

Turns out, not everyone is a fan of Melania!
