Back in 2012 we heard a rumor that unparalleled actress Meryl Streep would be bringing her skillz to the Disney film adaptation of beloved musical Into The Woods as the main Witch herself…
And now thanks to a lip-slip courtesy of famed composer David Krane, we’re almost 100% positive the rumor is TRUE!!
During a recent interview, Krane dished:
“I am coming into an exciting time. My show, ├óΓé¼┼ôThe Road to Qatar,├óΓé¼Γäó is being presented in London next month and then I am doing a revival of an old show, ├óΓé¼╦£Good News├óΓé¼Γäó at the Goodspeed Opera House. And then the biggest news├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥they are doing a movie of the musical ├óΓé¼╦£Into the Woods.├óΓé¼Γäó Disney is going to make the movie and I will do the arrangements. Meryl Streep will be the witch and it will be the first time I have worked with her since 1977 when we did ├óΓé¼╦£Happy End.├óΓé¼Γäó”
The Disney adaptation is set to be directed by Rob Marshall, who also worked with Krane on the Oscar-winning Chicago!
Ok, so assuming Meryl IS on board to bewitch us all, now we just wanna know if Anna Kendrick will take on the role of Cinderella!
