Rape is a serious crime, but as far as we can see, so is lying about it. Women everywhere face such cruelty and agony everyday and this women should be made to see what she did was simply inexcusable.
A few months back, New York TV meteorologist Heidi Jones told police she was almost raped in Central Park while jogging. Today, we all know that she fabricated the whole story for sympathy and now, she is facing time in jail for her lies.
This morning, Heidi appeared in court to be officially charged with filing a false police report. The crime, should she be found guilty, is punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Sources report that she did not enter a plea, though we already know she confessed to the police that she made the story up.
We’re really rather disappointed that someone would make up such a horrible story like this simply for the attention. It not only discredits her reputation, but puts other women who actually were or will get raped under scrutiny about their claims.
Sad.
