Donald Trump‘s immigration crackdown has begun — and he’s coming straight for the entertainment industry.
Mexican comedian Nora Vel├â┬ízquez, best known as the character “La Chabelita,” has officially been deported from the United States.
The 50-year-old was set to fly from Los Angeles to Seattle for a gig when she was arrested by agents who were waiting for her at the airport.

Apparently, immigration authorities had been monitoring the actress, who is being accused of working in the states on a tourist visa instead of a work visa.
As a result, Velazquez’s visa has been cancelled, and she will be unable to travel to the U.S. for the next five years.
The comedian took her deportation in stride, sharing a Facebook video where she explained the situation as her hilarious super Catholic character.
We’re glad Velazquez can laugh at such a shitty situation — keep your head up, Chabelita!
