It’s a little late in the game for this!
Production on the second Hunger Games movie is slated to start this summer — but first the studio wants to give the script a capital-style make over!
Lionsgate is in talks with Oscar-winning screenwriter, Michael Arndt (the dude that wrote Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine) to re-write the screen adaptation of the second book of the Hunger Games series.
If he accepts the offer, Arndt will need to get to work FAAAST! They need the script done um… yesterday!
You know, Hunger Games director, Gary Ross, turned down directing Catching Fire because its super-rushed super-immediate production schedule.
Now we totally don’t blame him!
Having his script rewritten just two months before going into production is probably giving the new director, Francis Lawrence, a freakin’ ulcer!!
