Michelle Obama & George W. Bush Recreate Sweet Moment At Father's Funeral

Two months ago, leaders past and present gathered together to bury one of the country’s most respected Republican voices.
And on Wednesday they did so again, as President George H.W. Bush was laid to rest.
Despite his grief at the passing of his father, George W. Bush playfully called back the most unifying, humanizing moment we saw from the funeral of John McCain — handing Michelle Obama a cough drop!
After the first moment, Michelle revealed to TODAY the two had become friends because they’re perpetually seated next to one another at national functions, calling the 43rd president her “partner in crime at every major thing where all the ‘formers’ gather.”

She also confirmed the cough drops themselves are special — they’re official White House drops, complete with the Presidential seal on them! She explained in October:

“I will add, they were old cough drops. I said, ‘How long have you had these things?’ He said, ‘A long time; we’ve got a lot of these.'”

It’s nice the President had something to look forward to on such a sad day.
