Waaaay back in October, we got a first look at Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe in My Week With Marilyn (above), and we thought she looked EXQUISITE!
This October, New York Film Festival goers will get to experience her exquisiteness for themselves, because Michelle’s Marilyn movie will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Lincoln Center in NYC.
Here’s what festival chief Richard Pena had to say about the film in a statement:
“After seeing Marilyn Monroe so often portrayed in films as a caricature, it is a pleasure to see this complex personality and unique on-screen presence portrayed so well by such a talented actress as Michelle Williams.”
We’re very excited for this one, and we’re thrilled that Michelle is getting such great roles! Between last year’s Blue Valentine and this film, it def seems like Hollywood is starting to truly realize how talented she is!
