We heard earlier that Billboard Music Awards‘ producers explicitly cautioned Miguel against the onstage stunt that so publicly backfired!
Sources said he was told not to perform the move which ultimately smashed Khyati Shah‘s face!
Miguel’s peeps, however, swear those sources are full of it!
They say the BMA folks never offered any warnings against a potential pain-inducing performance!!
His rep just issued this statement:
“The reports claiming that Miguel was warned by producers not to jump are completely false. A number of attempts were made to reach Khyati and her lawyer after the performance to see how she was doing and whether any assistance could be offered. Khyati├óΓé¼Γäós wellbeing has been and continues to be of the utmost concern to Miguel.├óΓé¼┬¥
Either way, Khyati’s health is everyone’s top concern!
Earlier this week the poor girl’s lawyer announced she might have neurological damage; her injuries could result in lawsuits!
It’s a shame so much tragedy came from a well-intentioned performance!!!
