We’re continuing to learn more and more about Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter‘s extended hook-up — where it started, when it started, and how it’s continued to go on from here.
New insiders are reporting more about exactly when Liam Hemsworth‘s estranged wife and Brody Jenner‘s ex-girlfriend started hooking up over the summer, too — and by the sound of it, it sure appears like the pair’s respective #HotGirlSummer together may have had a direct impact on their relationships!

For one, an insider just told Us Weekly that the 36-year-old blogger and reality TV star had “been separated [from Brody] since before the 4th of July,” and even though news broke about their breakup officially on August 2, the insider claims that Cyrus and Carter had already been hooking up for about three weeks at that point — which would make the beginning of their relationship mid-July.
The insider continued (below):
“Brody and Kaitlynn separated on good terms and are still close friends. Brody is in a great headspace right now and really isn’t bothered by Kaitlynn and Miley’s relationship.”
Interesting! So it sound like the 36-year-old reality TV veteran is unbothered by the fact his ex has been hooking up with Miley… most likely because it apparently started after he was done with Kaitlynn, right?! If only Liam could see it the same way…
According to a separate source speaking to E! News about the same situation, it turns out that Liam “knew his marriage reached a point of no return when he saw Miley Cyrus kissing Kaitlynn Carter.” WOW!
The source there claims that early on after their August 10 public announcement of a breakup, Liam and Miley both had optimism about maybe working things out and eventually getting back together… only for the pictures to drop online showing Miley kissing Brody’s ex, and spreading like wildfire. When that happened, according tot he insider, Liam immediately realized “he can’t do this any more.”

The source added more, too (below):
“Even though Miley and Liam were separated for a while before she was photographed making out on the yacht with Kaitlynn, once Liam saw those photos he decided it was time to file for divorce. That was it for him, seeing those photos and then all the Soho House stories thereafter.”
Wow! Truly the final straw!!!
