Perhaps Amanda Bynes would have been better off giving Miley Cyrus her bong!
The We Can’t Stop singer interviewed with Rolling Stone magazine for their July 4th issue, and revealed her fairly liberal thoughts on drugs and alcohol.
Given her stoner reputation, we’re not totally surprised. Though, when asked to clarify her penchant for weed, she said:
“You can’t ask someone that and expect them to say yes… I did a song with Snoop Dogg called ‘Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,’ so people can put it together for themselves.”
That sounds fairly straightforward to us. Mileybird then went ahead to state that she thinks there are things much, much worse than a little bit of the green stuff:
“I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana — people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don’t care… I’ve seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I’ve never seen that happen with weed.”
She added:
“As long as it isn’t illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it’s legal in the state of California. So I’m happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be.”
Well, Miley, marijuana isn├óΓé¼Γäót exactly legal in California unless you have a prescription, so we├óΓé¼Γäóre not entirely sure what you mean. But, okay…
As for her transition from Disney teen idol to mature pop star, she said:
“People thought I was gonna be this dumb white girl that was, like twerking around and had no real thoughts… Since I was 13, I put my work before everything else in my life. Now that I’m 20, I’m putting my life and my career at the same level of importance.”
What’s more, when Miley was inevitably asked about her current relationship status with Liam Hemsworth, she flatly stated:
“I wear a ring every single day. I don’t talk about my personal life, so that’s enough of an answer.”
While we would have liked a little bit more on that subject, we’ll take her recent movie night with her beau as a clear sign.
