We know her mother would be so proud!
Mindy Kaling recently sat down with Lena Dunham where the two discussed anything and everything! Nothing was held back!
When Lena asked Mindy who her role models were, Mindy replied in a very candid way.
She revealed that the “single biggest role model in her life” was her mother Swati Chokalingam who tragically died from pancreatic cancer in 2012.
Here’s what she said:
“I would say that my mother is the single biggest role model in my life, but that term doesn’t seem to encompass enough when I use it about her. She was the love of my life.”
Aww. That’s so sweet.
Nobody will ever replace Mindy’s mother, but it must be awfully nice that she’s able to honor her mom’s memory by being so amazingly awesome!
She has one of the funniest shows on television with The Mindy Show, and she’s definitely a talent to be reckoned with in the years to come!
Her mother did one heck of a job raising her!!!
