Mindy Kaling is having some fun at Prince Harry‘s expense!
On Thursday, the comedian shared a photo posing with the Duke of Sussex on Instagram — only she totally downplayed his royalty and joked that he was simply her “friend’s husband.” LOLz! In the caption, The Mindy Project alum teased:
“Met my friend’s husband at a work event. Seemed pretty cool. Said he wrote a book. Gonna go check it out!”
Hah! As if Spare wasn’t one of the most talked about celeb memoirs in recent years!!

Fans were totally in on the joke, adding in the comments:
“Ohhh yeah I think I’ve heard about this guy! Is that Meghan Markle‘s husband?”

Both Mindy and Harry were in San Francisco on Wednesday for the BetterUp summit. That’s a tech organization for which the father of two is a chief impact officer. At the event, the actress chatted with author Adam Grant in a conversation called “Leading with Laughter,” during which they both discussed their parenting styles. It doesn’t sound like the Suits alum was there, however. But still, she’s been pals with the Sex Lives of College Girls co-creator since at least 2022 when Mindy appeared on her podcast Archetypes. Looks like Mindy’s branching out to more of Meg’s family now. And having a little bit of fun with it, too! Reactions?! Sound OFF (below)!
