Minnie Driver Has NO QUALMS About Dragging Ex Matt Damon For His Ignorant Sexual Misconduct Opinions!

Minnie Driver is NOT here for Matt Damon‘s ignorant sexual misconduct opinions.
In case you missed it, the Bourne actor majorly put his foot in his mouth when he tried to weigh in on the MANY sexual misconduct allegations that’ve hit Hollywood. During a sit down with ABC News‘ Peter Travers, Damon condemned serial predator Harvey Weinstein, but suggested that Louis C.K. could be forgiven.

Following Matt’s train wreck of an interview, Miz Driver wrote online:

Gosh it’s so *interesting how men with all these opinions about women’s differentiation between sexual misconduct, assault and rape reveal themselves to be utterly tone deaf and as a result, systemically part of the problem( *profoundly unsurprising)

The industry vet then elaborated on her stance for an interview with The Guardian. Driver explained:

“I’ve realized that most men, good men, the men that I love, there is a cut-off. They simply cannot understand what abuse is like on a daily level.”

Snap! Snap! She continued:

“I honestly think that until we get on the same page, you can’t tell a woman about their abuse. A man cannot do that. No one can. It is so individual and so personal, it’s galling when a powerful man steps up and starts dictating the terms, whether he intends it or not.”

You tell ’em, sis!
In case you forgot, Minnie herself is a sexual assault survivor. This fact probably makes it WORSE that her ex/former Good Will Hunting costar spoke from such ignorance. On Damon’s hierarchy of sexual abuse theory, Minnie concluded:

“How about: it’s all fucking wrong and it’s all bad, and until you start seeing it under one umbrella it’s not your job to compartmentalize or judge what is worse and what is not. Let women do the speaking up right now. The time right now is for men just to listen and not have an opinion about it for once.”

Preach. We’re so proud of Minnie for calling Matt on his shit.
