Well, this is one of the most absolutely horrific stories we’ve covered in a long time…
A former Swiss beauty pageant was murdered — allegedly strangled by her husband, police say — back in February. But that’s not the worst part of this already tragic story. The worst part is that cops also say her life partner then put her remains in a blender and puréed them after her death.
What. The. F**k.
So, back in February of this year, a 38-year-old woman named Kristina Joksimovic was killed in a suspected homicide in the city of Binningen, Switzerland — which is just outside the major metropolis of Basel. Police did not initially name her in legal docs after the death, referring to the victim only as “KJ.” But citing medical reports, The Telegraph has since identified the woman as Joksimovic — who was a finalist in the Miss Switzerland pageant back in 2007.

Her husband was not named in the docs, either — and both The Telegraph and BBC News have only since referred to him as Thomas in their recent reporting. But according to them, Thomas first allegedly told police that he found his wife dead by the stairs in their home and panicked. Grief-stricken and in shock, he allegedly admitted to cops that he did indeed dismember her… and then put her in a blender to puree the body parts. Again, WTF?!?!?!
Per the newly uncovered court docs, which were first unearthed and reported on this week despite being more than six months old, Thomas’ story changed in March. At that point, he reportedly admitted that he did kill her — but tried to claim that the murder had come in self-defense.
An autopsy report later determined that Thomas had dismembered the former pageant contestant with a jigsaw and garden shears. He then chopped up the remains into small pieces and dissolved them in a blender. Per local Swiss radio station FM1 Today and others, her remains were reportedly also dissolved with some type of chemical. Obviously, those autopsy results flew in the face of Thomas’ first claim of finding his wife dead — as well as going far beyond his second assertion that he only killed her in self-defense.

The couple shared two children together before Kristina’s death. Police officials in the Basel-Landschaft municipality said the kids were handed over to caretakers immediately after the murder was first discovered. Interestingly, the public prosecutor’s office in Binningen has not yet filed charges against Thomas — but he has been in police custody this entire time according to the local Swiss media outlet 20min.
What a horrible story. That poor woman. And those poor children. Ugh…
