Rhode Island has to be proud of Olivia Culpo. Gurl won the crown of Miss USA after announcing support for transgendered beauty contestants.
During the interview round, judge Rob Kardashian asked if it’s fair for transgendered women to compete in beauty pageants.
And the Audrey Hepburn fanatic answered:
“I do think it would be fair. There are so many people who have a need to change for a happier life. I do accept that because I believe it’s a free country.”
Whoo!! Way to go, Liv!!
Of course, this comes on the spiky heels of the Miss Universe Organization’s recent decision to admit transgendered women into their pageants.
And CLEARLY the feeling is spreading pageant-wide! Such greatness!!
Oh Rob, Chaz Bono would be soo proud of his former Dancing With the Stars competitor!! And we are too! 😉
