So THIS is where that audible cheer came from when Jimmy Kimmel asked the Emmy crowd if anyone was voting for Mitt Romney!
The Republican presidential nominee came to Hollywood on Saturday for a fundraiser at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and he managed to take home $6 million!
It’s a little over a third of what George Clooney helped Barack Obama gather at a fundraiser in the beginning of the summer, but still $2 million more than what Jay-Z and Beyonc├â┬⌐ raised for the President in New York recently.
Not that it matters though. If there’s one thing Romney is NOT short and won’t ever be short on, it’s money.
But he’ll still take more of it! A source from his campaign team told sources they plan on coming back to milk this cash cow, explaining:
“This weekend’s event was very successful and there are plans to try to get the Governor back in Los Angeles again after the first or second debate for a similar occasion.”
We’re not sure if Clint Eastwood made an appearance to hang with the man “dumb enough” to let him talk to a chair at the RNC, but Jerry Bruckheimer, Gary Sinise, and Patricia Heaton were among the most famous faces in the crowd.
Tickets cost guests $1,000, $15,000 or $50,000.
