We’re pretty sure EVERYBODY wants any sketch on Saturday Night Live to be funny, but that is the only way Mitt Romney is agreeing to making an appearance on the show.
Lorne Michaels reportedly extended an invitation for the Republican presidential candidate to host the show, but an interview with Diane Sawyer on Monday night revealed that Romney was clueless.
When asked about the possibility of hosting the show, or at least making a cameo of some sort, Romney replied:
“I haven’t made a decision on that, just heard about it. Of course it would depend on the nature of the skit. I want it to be funny.”
As longtime fans of the show, we can assure you’re in good hands, Mitt! We hope you decide to follow in the footsteps of Sarah Palin and John McCain by giving us all a great show live from New York!
