For the past few years there has been a major animated project in development called The Ark And the Aardvark. Starring Aubrey Plaza, Jenny Slate, Miles Teller, Stephen Merchant, Rob Riggle, and Craig Robinson. This blockbuster in the making follows an aardvark named Gilbert (voiced by Miles Teller) who is put in charge of making sure all the animals get onto Noah’s ark before the flood.
Not much is known about this movie except for that they have been looking for a new name to join their cast. Producer Keith Kjarval has been on the lookout for a big name to play a key character and apparently he may have found it in up and coming model Alejandra Rodriguez. Repped by Marka Talent out of Mexico, Alejandra first caught the industry’s attention in 2014 when she co-produced and starred in the film Wishes Ltd. at Cannes Film Festival. Since then she has booked several international modeling campaigns and has also tried her hand at voice overs. Apparently she isn’t bad because our sources say that she is in serious consideration to join this amazing cast.
“Voice overs have always been fascinating to me. As a model, the focus is always on our looks and the energy we bring on camera. Voice overs allow you to paint an entirely different picture if you want in the audience’s mind and something about that excites me! I’ve been lucky enough to have trained with some of the best in the industry and I can’t wait to keep doing more.” said Alejandra.
This $35 million animated feature is directed by Kung Fu Panda’s John Stevenson and while there is no set release date, we are very hopeful this epic hit’s theaters soon! With so many awesome actors, an iconic story and this much buzz, there is no telling just how big of a hit The Ark and The Aardvark could be.
