A Florida mom is currently facing child abuse charges after a car ride gone wrong.

According to police, Lorena Simpson tried to get her kids, who were in the backseat of her car, to stop fighting by slamming the breaks.
“That’s a great example of good parenting,” said no one ever.
However, her 12-year-old daughter was in the front seat at the time without a seatbelt on.
Needless to say, the daughter slammed her head into the windshield. Maybe next time check that your children are safely secured by a seat belt before rashly decelerating your car.
Lorena claims to have had no idea that anything was wrong until the police arrived three days later:
“I didn’t on purpose or intentionally harm my daughter, you understand. If she ever once complained to me and said, ‘hey mom I think I have a headache,’ (but) she didn’t. I’m heartbroken. My kids are gone.”
Investigators however claim that the daughter who was injured complained of dizziness AND a headache.
All three of Lorena’s kids are now in the custody of their father.
