This poor mother lived a horror story after catching an acquaintance abusing her children via security camera.
Back on September 7, an unnamed mom was driving for Uber in the Orlando, Florida area when she got a horrifying call from a friend. The friend told her that she saw a man in her children’s bedroom “touching the kids and taking photos.” Obviously, that prompted the mother to immediately turn around and rush home around 12:30 a.m. local time.
On the drive home, according to an affidavit obtained by WKMG, the mom was able to see the man on the videos from her security cameras. She was able to access the videos on her phone, and no doubt was shocked to see it was her personal trainer that she’d known for five years who had somehow gotten into her home. The man, 39-year-old David Andrew Ogden (pictured above in his mugshot), was an acquaintance she knew from the local YMCA — and what he allegedly did to her children is stomach-churning.

According to the affidavit, the mom claimed she saw Ogden sitting on the bed while taking photos of her young daughter and “rubbing her legs”. He also reportedly pulled down another sleeping child’s pants and began to touch himself while “sniffing” the kid. The legal docs also allege he recorded all of this on his cell phone.
By the time the mom got home, Ogden had already fled the scene, but it was too late. She’d seen everything! But to make matters worse, the suspect himself texted her around 12:45 a.m. right after she’d gotten home, not knowing he’d been caught. The text read:
“Hey, seriously, Saturday, if you need to work. I am happy to entertain the kids. I know you’re probably sleeping. But my girls had a blast with yours. Also, little drunk watching umbrella academy. Lol. But really was great to see my girls having so much fun. They were out like a light at bedtime. Lol”
Terrifying! That poor parent receiving that message after seeing those videos… we can’t imagine!
The mother ended up going to police, which then led to Ogden’s arrest. Reports state he resisted arrest once he was found at his home, but his wife willingly turned over his phone to law enforcement. After his arrest, police revealed he’s facing two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, one count of burglary with assault, and one count of resisting arrest. He’s pleaded not guilty to the charges and was denied bond in court.
After some investigation, officers were able to find out just how Ogden allegedly broke into the mom’s house. He was able to use a hack to reach through the mail slot and open the door that night, giving him access to the home.
Local outlet WFTV reported the suspect is the son of a police chief, too!!! David Ogden Sr. is the Chief of the Windermere Police Department. With his son’s recent arrest, he released a statement to WKMG:
“I am disheartened; shocked and crushed by the recent news and arrest of a family member. As difficult as this is, I believe in the importance of allowing the legal process to unfold and in the principles of accountability and justice. I fully support the investigation and trust that the truth will come to light through due process. Out of respect for the all individuals involved and our family, I will not be commenting further. My commitment to serving the community with integrity remains unwavering during this challenging time.”
Such a horrible situation for both families. We sincerely hope these children get the justice they deserve.
