It’s being reported that Nick Schuyler, the football player rescued on Monday in the missing boaters search, had been floating in the water since Saturday afternoon!!!
All four of the men were together for about 12 hours after the fishing boat capsized, but the tide drifted the friends further and further apart as time went on.
How terrifying!!!
Schuyler sustained minimal injuries, suffering from dehydration and a below normal body temperature, with a few cuts and bruises here and there, but was alert and aware of his surroundings at the time of his rescue.
The U.S. Coast Guard have continued their search for the remaining three missing players, tripling the coverage area. They also plan to use Schuyler as a tool for information to help localize the search.
