Y’all, Jessi Draper‘s biggest fear might come true!
In Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Jessi’s marriage issues with Jordan Ngatikaura were on full display. They’ve been struggling for a while after her affair drama. She then accused him of emotional abuse! But despite all that trouble, they’ve been trying to make things work.
It was not an easy thing, though, and Jessi was clearly contemplating whether she wanted to stay in the relationship during the latest season of the Hulu show. But then she came to a horrifying realization — her prenup may not have been valid!

The 33-year-old told her MomTok friends that she could lose “millions” if she divorced because the couple hadn’t gotten their prenuptial agreement signed by a witness before they tied the knot in 2020. And as the main breadwinner in the family, that was a massive deal to her. She said she knows her hubby was “a hard person to be married to” and would be a “harder person to divorce.” Damn. The mother detailed:
“He’s entitled to anything in the last five years that I’ve created. When we got married, I was worth a lot less than I am now. So it just sucks, and I don’t want to do that to my family. He’s entitled to it, so I could see him doing it [where he asks for] child support, or I would owe him alimony.”
Jeez.
She was pretty positive Jordan would make her life very difficult amid a divorce, too, adding:
“Jordan has made a lot of changes, but if I’m basing it off of the Jordan that I was married to for four years — that Jordan would be a very hard person to divorce. He would be spiteful and vindictive. I think he would play a little bit dirty. So I just have to prepare myself that if we do get divorced that it could go that way.”
Brutal!!!
And now the day has finally come. Jordan filed for divorce on Thursday. While he told TMZ he’s “committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect,” this prenup drama is obviously top of mind for many fans. Sadly, so many celebrity divorces result in so much fighting over money. It’s not shocking people are worried for her!
But what is Jessi’s net worth? What’s really at stake??

Hulu
Obviously, she’s getting paid by Hulu for the show. The streamer has never shared their specific salaries, but it was a big topic of conversation in Season 2. At the time, Demi Engemann was called out for trying to snag a bigger paycheck than everyone else — even if it meant her pal Jessi was booted! At the time, Demi mentioned they had a “mutual understanding” that everyone was going to “come in fighting for everything as a united front,” suggesting they’d all be paid the same. However, she accused Jessi of trying to go around them for more, which caused her to do the same. Taylor Frankie Paul also seemed to confirm they all make the same by saying:
“If anyone has the right to be paid the most, it’s me, and I’ve never even asked for that.”
Now, what that actual price is, it’s hard to know. The show has blown up in popularity over the years, so we have to imagine their contracts have gotten bigger, too!
TikTok
But the ladies all have plenty of other forms of income! Having started with MomTok on TikTok and other social media platforms, brand deals are obviously a huge moneymaker for them, and while those deals range widely, they can be VERY lucrative!
Business
But Jessi’s unlike many of her cast mates. Her wealth isn’t just based on her social media activity! She’s a businesswoman with several successful businesses.
First, she’s got the hair salon and hair extensions brand JZ Styles, plus she runs a hair design school called JZ Academy with a $18,000 tuition fee. It takes money to run a business, but she must be making a lot! Plus, not only is she selling services, but she sells products and merch too!

Net Worth
With all this in mind, Brit + Co reported she had a net worth of $1.65 million last year. TBH, that sounds kinda low! Especially if Jessi thinks she could “lose millions,” but she may just mean in the amount she’d be forced to pay in spousal and child support, and the like, if Jordan fights her for that. Her kids are still very young, so that could really add up!
Her Stance On Prenup
Ultimately, Jessi told Cosmopolitan last week that she decided to “let go of the prenup conversation, because I want to make the decision for me and my happiness, rather than for money.” She added:
“I still will look into that in the future if I need to. But I felt like I was basing the decision [about whether or not to get divorced] off of that. And I didn’t want to do that.”
But now Jordan’s made the decision for her! If the prenup doesn’t hold, we hope he really means it when he says he wants to keep things amicable!
Note to self: if you’re bothering to sign a prenup, make sure you double-check it’s valid before you say I do!
