Former Host Of '70s Children's Show Mr. Wonder Pleads Not Guilty To Sex Abuse Charges After 37 YEARS On The Run

Wow. We hope this case finally reaches a conclusion.
According to People Magazine, the former host of the ’70s children’s show Mr. Wonder pled NOT guilty to sex abuse charges stemming all the way back from 1979. The perp in question, Frank John Selas III, fled to Rio De Janeiro and other locales for 37 YEARS to avoid arrest before he was finally found in San Diego three months ago.

Per legal docs in the case, Frank is being charged with 13 counts of sex abuse against minors in Louisiana ranging from 5-11 years in age. Back in the ’70s, the parents of the victims complained that Mr. Selas had molested their children while on a camping trip.
The allegations are particuarly frightening considering the man ran a children’s show for YEARS in addition to teaching at an international school in Tokyo for an extended period of time. Frank allegedly took his students on trips around East Asia without parental supervision.
Despite the evidence stacked against the former teacher, his lawyer claims he’s innocent of the charges. The legal rep also went on to add that he will develop a defense for his client as soon as he has access to the prosecution’s discovery docs.
A former colleague of Selas’ summed up the gross situation to KNOE 8 News, stating:

“We all thought he was a little strange.”

Yikes. Talk about DISTURBING.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated as this sad case progresses.
