MTV Video Music Awards Will Make History In Brooklyn This Year!

MTV‘s Video Music Awards will go where no awards show has gone before!!
In true hipster fashion, the VMA’s will be moving to Brooklyn, New York and take place at Barclay’s Center.
This will mind the FIRST EVER awards show to take place in the flannel-wearing heaven that are the boroughs of Brooklyn!
President of MTV, Stephen Friedland, explained:

├óΓé¼┼ôFrom a vibrant musical scene for up and coming artists to epic concerts by today’s biggest stars and the triumphant return of pro sports to the borough after nearly 60 years, Brooklyn has re-emerged as a cultural capitol where music, sports and entertainment history is made every day.├óΓé¼┬¥

We guess Brooklyn IS pretty cool.
After all some of the industry’s BEST have come out of those streets like Norah Jones, MGMT, and Jay-Z!
We’ll miss having the VMA’s in Los Angeles, but we’re sure craziness will ensue regardless of the location!
And it all goes down August 25!!!
