So rad!
We’ve been itching for some new Mumford & Sons for a while now, and we ALWAYS welcome new Birdy… so imagine our head explosion when we hear that they TEAMED UP for a brand new track!
The new song has been written for Pixar‘s next flick, Brave. It’s called Learn Me Right.
Here’s what Marcus Mumford had to say about it:
“It’s quite fun doing a song for a movie rather than for an album. We liked the idea of having an orchestra in the background and having a girl like Birdy sing – it’s been quite liberating.”
Birdy also added:
“I love it because it tells a story. Although it has a lot of emotion, it’s also very upbeat and you want to dance to it, which is why it works so well.”
We can’t wait to hear it… and we can’t wait to see the movie!
Pixar really can’t do wrong, especially when looking back at their impressive track record (we’ll just go ahead and ignore Cars 2, sadly).
June 22, can’t come soon enough!
