Narciso Rodriguez Is Banana Republic's New Advisor

Fashion at Banana Republic is getting a super swanky makeover!
The Gap-owned retailer is bringing in Narciso Rodriguez for an advisory role, which includes working alongside executive vice president and creative director, Simon Kneen!
President of Banana Republic, Jack Calhoun opened up about why they chose the designer, saying:

“At Banana Republic, we are committed to delivering modern, stylish workwear to our customers. Narciso├óΓé¼Γäós expertise will be a great complement to Simon├óΓé¼Γäós strengths and to our incredible design team. Rodriguez is expected to add a fresh perspective to further Banana Republic├óΓé¼Γäós positioning.”

The duos’ first collection is expected to drop for the Fall 2013 season, and is described as “the cool factor, that edgy factor, those special products that Banana Republic is known for” according to Gap CEO Glenn Murphy.
Based of on what we’ve seen from Rodriguez’s upcoming Kohl’s line, we’re sure he won’t have any problem whipping up some fancy items for Banana.
