We were so excited when we heard the lovely Natalie Dormer was set to join the Hunger Games franchise as Cressida.
In a recent interview, Natalie dished on what it was like to ditch her Game of Thrones garb for a kick-ass role in the Hunger Games.
Natalie revealed:
“There was a very fun energy on set. And it’s long hours├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥action takes a long time to shoot├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥and it’s sometimes very hard stuff. So yeah, you’re just standing in the dark with water up to your neck. It’s sort of├óΓé¼┬ª after 12 hours, everyone’s cracking jokes to keep each other laughing. That’s how you get through that kind of stuff.”
Sounds intense! We’re glad there was such a great camaraderie on set to ease the grueling hours!
Dormer added:
“It was fun to be with the boys in the mud and the dirt, and being empowered in a physical sense. And now, after nine months of running around in dirt and water, it’s nice to get back into Margaery’s silk skirts.”
Ha, we can understand why Natalie is so ready to return to her Games of Thrones character…sounds like girl needs a break!
We can’t wait to see her get down and dirty in the upcoming Mockingjay film!
