New Blood Test Detects Cancer

We are completely floored by recent advancements in medical technology!

A new test developed by Boston scientists is so sensitive that it can detect a single cancer cell within a sea of a billion healthy cells. Stray cancer cells in the blood indicate that the cancer is potentially spreading.

For now, doctors want to use the technology to determine whether or not the treatment they’re using is working. Current tests are not as accurate and don’t provide doctors with enough information to make solid decisions on what treatment to apply to a patient.

Johnson & Johnson will help make this treatment widely available.
