New York Giants Players Get Together With Newtown Kids!

new york giants spend a day with newtown kids(1)
How AH-MAYZING is this???
It’s been four months since Sandy Hook Elementary experienced a horrific massacre, and while everyone affected by the tragedy is still healing, offensive tackle David Diehl and his New York Giants headed to Newtown, Connecticut to spend a day with the children who were affected by the horrible event.
Just about 20 players got on a bus and went to Newtown to not only entertain children from Sandy Hook, but also to get together with kiddies from other elementary schools nearby.
During their visit, the players ran drills, played games, threw footballs and even talked about future goals.
The good news is that the shootings were never mentioned, Diehl said:

“It was all looking at the now. That’s the thing, everybody was so positive and so uplifting and it was just so positive. You look at these kids and hear them talk about goals and different things ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ ‘I want to be a football player,’ or, ‘I want to be a lawyer’ ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ just listen to kids talking. That’s what it’s all about ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ helping them recover and look toward the future. You could definitely see the positive all these kids have.”

Awww! We’re happy to see what a difference a few jocks football athletes can make!!
Ch-ch-check out the video (below) of punter Steve Weatherford playing tug-of-war with the kiddies!!
