NFL player Greg Hardy was arrested earlier this week after a dispute with his girlfriend Nicole Holder turned violent, and apparently the whole thing is Nelly‘s fault!
Well, sort of.
The Carolina Panthers defensive end allegedly attacked his girlfriend while they were lying in bed together and threw her to the ground in his bathroom. Then, he pulled her by her hair and threw her onto his couch, which she says was covered with guns.
So what led to the violent altercation? Well Nicole claims she had a “short-lived” fling with with southern rapper Nelly in the past, and Greg was EXTREMELY jealous of this!
The footballer was held in jail overnight before he was released on Wednesday on a $15,000 bail and judge Rebecca Thorne Tin demanded he turn over all of his firearms. He was also ordered to attend 3 Alcoholic Anonymous meetings a week since he and Nicole were both intoxicated during the dispute.
Greg claims he was NOT the aggressor during the fight, as he called 911 himself saying Nicole was attacking him and refused to leave his apartment.
The details of the dispute are still a little murky, and it just makes things even stranger that Nelly’s name got dragged into the mix! Hopefully this mess gets sorted out!
