This is quite a different result from her last album’s sales!
My how times have changed!
Nicki Minaj recently dropped her latest album The Pinkprint on December 12th and while her third album is looking at a top five debut on the Billboard 200 chart and may sell about 150,000 by the end of the week ending Dec. 21st, the sales have been disappointing compared to her last album!
Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded as you may remember sold 253,000 copies its debut week in 2012 and finished numero uno that debut week on the US Billboard 200 chart.

Coming in behind Nicki with the biggest debut album sales is D’Angelo who doesn’t have Nicki’s numbers, but the expectations for this singer are a lot different. He released his latest album Black Messiah seemingly out of nowhere, and is heading towards a very solid sale of 100,000 copies of his album by the end of its debut week.
Taylor Swift is probably Nicki Minaj’s most difficult obstacle to overcome as her album 1989 is expected to be at the top of the new Billboard 200 chart, and the number two slot is expected to be Pentatonix‘s holidaze themed album That’s Christmas To Me.
The official Billboard 200 chart is due for release on Wednesday and we’ll be mighty curious to see the official numbers when they’re out then!
