Nicola Formichetti Announces New High-Tech Line

Nicola Formichetti is going solo!
Mugler‘s creative director announced on Thursday he’s launching his very own line that will incorporate, wait for it, solar power.
Whaaa???
Nicola says his eponymous line Formichetti will be “very digitally oriented and high-tech”, adding:

“We├óΓé¼Γäóve been working with the same fabrics, the same techniques for hundreds of years. That├óΓé¼Γäós all great, but we need something new.”

Sounds…expensive.
Formichetti apparel and accessories are expected to launch, appropriately, online in mid-2013.
It’ll be inneresting to see what Nicola has up his high-tech sleeve!
