Uh-oh! Sounds like someone wants it to sound like she’s leaving on her own terms!
Nicole Scherzinger has had a less-than-stellar run on the first season of X Factor as a member of the judges panel – and a last minute replacement for Cheryl Cole – and although there have been reports that she’ll be bumped back to host when Steve Jones is axed, recent comments from the singer herself seem to point to its validity!
She says:
‘Next year for me, it├óΓé¼Γäós about my music. This has been quite a learning experience, quite a journey for me. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót expect to have been so emotional through the whole elimination process. I wanted to just mentor and empower artists. I├óΓé¼Γäóm used to being on stage and performing and singing for people and people cheering for me. I am an artist first, not a judge first. The reason [my album] hasn├óΓé¼Γäót come out yet is because of The X Factor. It├óΓé¼Γäós been so time consuming. I work with these contestants six days a week. So I delayed the album, but I was able to perform one of my new singles last week. I really want to find the right roles and the right opportunities in acting. Theater is actually what I studied in college.’
Eek! We’re going to completely disregard her lies comments about her album, as anyone with half a brain would know how FOOLISH it is to deliberately delay the release of something when there’s a venue on which to promote it twice a week!
Either way, though, we’re glad she’s got a good attitude about moving on to other opportunities!
