Life imitating art or art imitating life???
We’re not surprised to hear that work is hitting close to home considering Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder were once the hottest couple in Hollywood AND costars on The Vampire Diaries.
And even though they split, we’re hearing they’ve started rekindling that damn seksi spark. And it looks like their TVD characters are doing the same, but it isn’t without some struggle.
Nina revealed what Elena and Damon are in store for:
“[Elena’s history with Stefan] is the elephant in the room. When you├óΓé¼Γäóre in a relationship and there├óΓé¼Γäós an ex-boyfriend around, the significant other is always like, ├óΓé¼╦£Hmm, I wonder├óΓé¼┬ª├óΓé¼Γäó There├óΓé¼Γäós always that insecurity. They might say that it├óΓé¼Γäós OK, but it├óΓé¼Γäós in the back of their mind. It├óΓé¼Γäós the same thing with Elena and Damon. He├óΓé¼Γäós pretending to be OK with it, but he can├óΓé¼Γäót unthink and unknow what he heard and what he knows now.”
Does this mean Ian is wondering what went on with Derek Hough???
Especially considering Nina’s friendship with Julianne Hough?? No way that isn’t totes awks!
But it sounds like Ian is up for the challenge! Or at the very least, he will have a little experience handling the dramz thanks to his role as Damon:
“Relationships are hard in life. Relationships are really hard in Mystic Falls. If you don├óΓé¼Γäót have conflict, you have no drama; and if you have no drama, you have no TV show. So relationships don├óΓé¼Γäót last that long in Mystic Falls, unless, clearly, you├óΓé¼Γäóre a freakin├óΓé¼Γäó doppelganger and the universe draws you two together.”
We don’t think Nina and Ian have to turn into doppelgangers to be drawn to each other!

Now can they finally open their eyes and see the deliciousness they’re risking losing out on?!
