Russia’s chief of space, Anatoly Perminov, says that there will be no more tourist trips after 2009.
6 private “spaceflight participants” have ponied up $20 million plus to travel to the Russian space station since 2001. But, now that the station crew is expanding from 3 to 6 there’s just no more room for tourists.
Martha Stewart’s ex, US software designer Charles Simonyi, is the last scheduled space tourist.
