Are *NSYNC trying hard to put the cat back in the bag? Or is their reunion really just a rumor??
Shortly after Lance Bass kinda sorta denied the performance, Joey Fatone is also saying there isn’t going to be a reunion.
But if that’s true, why is he saying that after just landing at the airport in NYC where the VMAs are being held? What’s he doing there then? He says:
“I’m actually going to be going to Staten Island. My cousin is turning 40, which I shouldn’t say. Surprise 40th on Saturday. So I’m going to be going to her birthday party.”
Way to spoil the surprise, man! But since he will be in town during the awards, will Joey be joining his old pal Justin Timberlake at the show? He says:
“Why the hell would I attend? I mean, for Justin obviously, he’s getting the Vanguard Award, which is cool. We heard about that, and that’s when the rumors started flying about doing all this stuff.”
So it’s just a rumor? Really?? Joey says:
“As far as I know. I haven’t gotten a phone call or anything. Just like his wedding. I didn’t get the phone call or the invite.”
Hmm, he may be doing a good job of playing dumb, but we’re still not buying the coincidence that he just happens to be in town for unrelated business!
