President Obama has offered a billion dollars to increase the healthcare workforce.
In the grant program, it targets places willing to hire, train, and deploy new workers in the health care industry.
It’s called the Healthcare Innovation Challenge and hopes to find:
“The most compelling new ideas to deliver better health, improved care and lower costs to people enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. Both public and private community organizations around the country are finding innovative solutions to improve our health care system and the Health Care Innovation Challenge will help jump-start these efforts.”
Sounds like a good idea to us!
We need to get people feeling better, that’s for sure, and incentive is definitely a great way to get that under-way. You know, incentive past doing it out of human kindness!
