This glorious afternoon, the President of The United States confirmed his plans to make gay marriage FEDERALLY legal!
Apparently we’re not the only ones totally THRILLED over his announcement!
Hollywood has taken to Twitter to thank the president for taking this historic step. Here’s what they had to say:
Jane Lynch proclaimed to her followers:
“Pretty darn happy today. Thanks Mr President, for supporting the dignity of my family and so many others!
Ellen DeGeneres graciously tweeted:
“Thank you President @BarackObama for your beautiful and brave words. I’m overwhelmed.”
Suze Orman was very enthusiastic in her sentiment. The TV host wrote:
“I am soooo PROUD of you PRESIDENT OBAMA YES YES YES it is about time. Marriage Equality is so very very important.”
Josh Groban simply said:
“Historic!! #equality”
Rachel Zoe tweeted:
“Such an exciting day!!! xoRZ RT @BarackObama “Same-sex couples should be able to get married.”├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥President Obama”
And, of course Tyra Banks used the word “fierce” in her statement:
“A fierce day for my gays and my prez @BarackObama ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ way 2 stand up 4 luv for ALL!”
It truly is a fanatic day, that will be a part of civil rights history!
